VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Here we boast a variety of different animal and Community projects all under one roof. The opportunity to work with majestic, beautiful animals of Africa is here, Your Ultimate African Volunteer Experience!

Use this opportunity to work with and contribute your assistance as well as gain knowledge through hands on experience working with and alongside our Lions, Cheetahs, Caracals and the mighty African Elephants who call Mukuni Big 5 home. We offer a wide range of activities from daily Lion walks, Cheetah walks, Elephant rides/walks and Caracal Interaction as well as our Breeding Programs, to Community Education Programs to name but a few. You will find an extensive list detailing what you can look forward to and what you may be doing here, in the following pages.
We are committed to the conservation, wellbeing and livelihood of our vulnerable African Lion, endangered African Cheetah, Elephants and Caracals. We are pioneering the breeding and hopefully future release of Cheetahs here in Zambia, this being the important aspect of our Volunteer and Cheetah Conservation Trust. We are also committed to the education of our youth through our Conservation Through Education Program conducted at our site for scholars as well as at the schools themselves .
Your placement fees go directly back into the project itself, for the improvement of the programs, education, feeding the animals, veterinarian bills and care, enclosures and many more for the betterment of our animals.
We aim to breed our Cheetahs and Lions for release into Nature Reserves in Zambia. Our Cheetahs who’s numbers have decreased so much that they are now endangered, the African Lion who are vulnerable. We will be rendering our assistance to the capture and care of problem animals as well of their relocation process into large safe areas where they will be out of harm’s way.
